Don't cut all one stage of flowering. When you select which flower to cut, pick some that are in bud stage (they should feel like a squishy marshmellow when you gently squeeze the bud), pick some that are just opening, and pick some that are almost in full bloom. This will allow you to enjoy the flowers through all the stages of blooms.

Once any flower is cut it will last longer if it is kept cool. Do not place your vase in a sunny location. If you are able, place the flowers (vase and all) in the fridge overnight.
